Our 6th Annual Slush Cup will be held on March 17 as we get in the mood for spring and wakeboarding at Brownstone Park! Your mission is to show up at Powder Ridge before noon and register. A park pass is required for participants.
The objective of the pond skimming event is for skiers and snowboarders to make it all the way across our slushy pond at the base of Middlefield, but we’re looking for you to do it in style. Pond skimmers registered for the Slush Cup are strongly encouraged to wear a great costume. You’ve seen the bananas, we’ve seen the pirates, and we’ve all seen Santa Clause at these competitions so what will you do different?
How about celebrating St. Patrick’s Day? This year’s cup falls on St. Paddy’s Day, and we plan on having a green tint to the water and we’re expecting to see some appropriate costumes!
We know there will be a lot of entertainment value at the Powder Ridge Slush Cup, so if you don’t want to give it a try, we’re certain you’ll have a blast watching on the sideline. The event starts at noon, and those under 18 will need a parents signature to participate. We’ll have prizes for the Best Skimmer as well as Best Costume, and we’ll probably give some Powder Ridge swag to the skimmers we feel really bad for!
- Registration starts at 10 a.m.
- Event starts at noon.
- There will be no practice runs.
