Plant a tree on The Ridge
In celebration of Spring and Earth Day, Powder Ridge is covering the mountain in evergreen trees and we are offering you a chance to “own” your own piece of the mountain. Our goal is to plant 1,000 trees by June 1.
Plant a tree mountainside at Powder Ridge and “own” a piece of the mountain for the next 80 to 250 years! Families and businesses can purchase one or more trees, and help plant your trees on the mountain. Advertise your business or honor a loved one. Your name will be on a plaque beside your tree for all to see. What a great way to help save the world, and the snow … plant a tree!
Join us Mother’s Day Weekend May 13 & 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Powder Ridge is ordering three native species. Trees are about 4 to 5 feet high. Our team will dig the holes for you and help you plant your tree. Just pick a variety and your location. Trees are $15 each.
- Pinus Strobus (Eastern White Pine)
- Tsuga canadensis (Eastern Hemlock)
- Juniperus Virginiana (Red Cedar Tree)
As an added incentive, anyone who sponsors a tree at Powder Ridge can also purchase a matching tree for their home. Matching trees will be $15 each, and 4 to 5 feet tall. If you’d like a tree for your home, order requests must be received by April 30th. Trees can be picked up in late May. Add trees to your home at a great value while you help Powder Ridge go green.
Avant Drywall’s owner, Tony Pilla has already committed to planting 100 trees on the mountain. He’s challenging other skiers (and local businesses) to join him in creating a tangible reflection of the memories that he and his family have created here at Powder Ridge.
If you are interested in purchasing but can’t make the dates contact us and we’ll plant it for you.
