Thank you for a great program! My son really enjoyed the day!! Lauren
Thanks so much for the informative messages. I was a bit nervous coming for our first lesson Sunday but all the info and guidance were super helpful and my son Pierson had a blast. Tim
I just wanted to say thank you. Garrett seemed energetic, started promptly, kept the kids engaged and also helped teach the younger instructors all while keeping the kids moving. Lauryn
Huge compliments to you and your staff for such an awesome class. My twins said it was fantastic and they had a ton of energy afterwards. Jeffrey
Company here and never been. Was so much fun!!!!!
Nice place for every age
Great tubing experience
Powder Ridge was absolutely wonderful in helping us organize a school field trip for a group of 60+ students on a Saturday night with a mix of tubing and skiing. From the start, their team was incredibly helpful and accommodating while we coordinated all the details for a large group.
The kids had an absolute blast! Everything ran smoothly, and the mountain was a perfect place for both beginner and experienced students to enjoy the night. Our parent chaperones were also extremely impressed with the mountain, the friendly and helpful staff, and the overall organization of the evening.
It was such a positive experience for everyone involved that this will definitely become a yearly trip for our students. Thank you, Powder Ridge, for making it such a fun and memorable night for our school community!

This is a very cool ski area! I took a lesson and then had a 4 hour lift ticket with rental. The Instructor I had was very helpful and knowledgeable. The Snow was great, not icy at all. But If you’re going to rent you must purchase the ticket for the lift and rental at the same time. After that then you wait in a long line before you get to start skiing and the skis are timed 4 or 8 hours. They also have a great place to eat and relax right on premises.
I wanted to try skiing with my almost 6 year old child, who is on the Autism spectrum, no
sooner did he click the ski boots on did he have a melt down- power ridge kindly gave me a refund, as he didn’t even make it to the lesson. I’m so thankful for that

Best Mtn in CT for park riding, bigger jumps and longer features than Southington. You can tell they got someone who knows what they’re doing behind the cat and Mtn Ops. Plus, cheap beers at the base…Cheers boys!

Immense fun for the entire family. Great location; you don't have to drive miles upon miles going uphill. Easily done in a family sedan since the road is paved. Some large resorts have gravel roads to this day. Great main cabin and restaurant. The bar is opened and accessible.
Great place with great staff! Love skiing and Snowtubing day or night.
We went with the kids looking for some fun winter activities, and it turned out to be such a great experience! We’re definitely not professionals, so at first we felt a little overwhelmed. But one of the managers, Robbie, showed us around and made us feel so comfortable and welcome.
The kids absolutely loved the “snow play” area and had the best time. After that, we all went tubing together as a family — so much fun and lots of laughs!
It was a wonderful family day, and we can’t wait to come back again!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort – A Family Winter Win!
If you’re looking for a fun, family-friendly place to ski in Connecticut, Powder Ridge Mountain Park & Resort absolutely delivers. From the moment we arrived, the vibe was welcoming and upbeat. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and patient — especially with kids getting their gear together and navigating the lifts. That kind of service makes all the difference when you’re skiing with the whole crew.
The slopes are perfect for families. There’s a great mix of beginner-friendly runs and enough variety to keep things interesting throughout the day. It’s not overwhelming, which makes it ideal for kids learning to ski or snowboard, but still fun for adults who want to get some solid runs in. The atmosphere feels safe, relaxed, and community-oriented — you can tell it’s a place built for making memories.
Now let’s talk food — because no ski day is complete without it. The lodge serves up all the fried classics you crave after a few hours on the mountain. And the hot dogs? Epically thick. We’re talking serious ski-lodge fuel. The pricing is also surprisingly reasonable compared to what you’d expect at many ski resorts, which is a huge bonus for families.
Only minor hiccup: the wings came out a little undercooked. Nothing that couldn’t be fixed, but worth noting. Everything else hit the spot and kept the crew happy and refueled.
Overall, Powder Ridge is a fantastic family ski destination — friendly staff, fun slopes, solid comfort food, and a laid-back, welcoming environment. We’ll definitely be back for more winter fun! ❄️⛷️🌭

Fun day tubing with the kids. It was packed but still pretty efficient and enjoyable. Daughter tried snowboarding for the first time and loved it.
The snow tubing was pretty good. Some lanes were a bit in the slow side but once you figure out which ones are faster than others, it is pretty fun. The prices were fair and it is actually a good place to have fun with the whole family. If possible, try to go in the nighttime as the lights and music make it even more fun.
I took my two daughters here for a private ski lesson and the had a great time. This wasn’t their first lesson and in comparison to previous lessons they said at Powder Ridge they were more challenged, which they appreciated. The teachers really connected with my children and were very personable. We booked the 4 hr lift tickets and rentals with the 1 hr lesson and that was plenty. We will definitely be back!
