Powder Ridge Mountain Bike Instructor Job Description:

Mountain Bike Instructor Job Responsibilities:
· Plans, leads, and implements bike programs for students
· Provides high-quality, enjoyable experiences for participants.
· Supervises students and ensures their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being.
· Facilitates and assists in creating lesson plans for daily, multi-day, and multi-week lessons.
· Organizes and leads various small and large group activities
· Ensure the cleanliness of the site.
· Assists in maintaining accurate program records and attendance.
· Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with mountain biking.
· Knows, enforces, and follows all safety guidelines associated with mountain biking, including knowing the whereabouts of your students at all times.
Hours:
Mountain Biking Season: mid-May through mid-November
Multi-Week Programs: Run for 4 – 6 consecutive weeknights or weekends.
Lessons are typically offered on weekends; some lessons are offered on weekdays.
PR Adventure Sports Camp:
(4) 2- week sessions, we ask that you are available for the (2) consecutive weeks Mon – Fri, to maintain consistency with campers.
Camp opens mid-June and runs through mid-August.
Training – 1 Day of Instructor Training:
Saturday, May 2nd, 11 AM – 3 PM
Saturday, May 16th, 11 AM – 3 PM
Saturday, May 23rd, 11 AM – 3 PM
Saturday, June 13th, 11 AM – 3 PM
Summer Camp Training: Wednesday, June 17th to Friday, June 19th times TBD
Mountain Bike Instructor Skills / Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Required:
· Education and experience in camp, youth programs, recreation, working with children, or in a related field
· First AID and CPR certification (can be obtained prior to July 1st, 2026)
· Personal or professional experience in Mountain Biking
Suggested:
- BICP certification (courses available, fees will be paid for, after 40 days of work within current Mountain Biking Season)
- Experience in teaching recreational activities such as, mountain biking or rock climbing.
